Stella
Stella is a sad story. Stella's portrait was commissioned after she had received a terminal diagnosis from her Veterinarian.
Stella passed away two weeks after the portrait was delivered. At that time Ms. Kelso was doing portraits on water color paper
(technology has improved and she now uses pastel boards - more recent portraits have more detail and color due to the pastel board)
and she delivered the portraits in cheap Wal-Mart frames. The Husband refused to removed Stella from the wall for final framing until they finally
moved to a new house two years later. The blue blanket was a special request of the owners, it had been Stella's blanket since she had been a puppy.
Prints of Stella have been Ms. Kelso best selling portrait.
